March 09

A little girl in our area, Brielle, turned 1 around the same time as our nephew Wade, so they had a joint party for the two tots :) mmmmmm..... nummy stuff!

Oh yeah..... dig in!

Future hunter at hand...

...and future fishermen. It's always good to practice whenever one gets a chance, y'know. I have to say, our children don't seem to lack in the creativity dept. They must have stood in line twice for that handout. Fishing is unique when using a bow-n-arrow pole and string, and a vacuum hose and string attached. I mean, look at the amazing fish they caught!

Ashlyn's school had an art and science fair, so we brought grandma S. and auntie Sarah to see the fun stuff. Ashlyn's class had been learning about auroras, so they all drew and colored a sample picture. Ashlyn's is straight above her head and she did a fabulous job!

Some more valentine artwork...

In the afternoon, auntie Leah did a great job putting the boys to sleep - we loved Cody's choice of nap location. His favorite friend for that week was rubber ducky! He seems to change frequently.
And off to Wade's 1st birthday party....Ashlyn and Leah arrive in Fancy Nancy style!! The rest of us were just......so plain....

The little birthday boy himself
mmm....squishy, squishy!

A little snuggle with Grandma S.

On some of the nicer more-spring-like days we enjoy walking around Riverwalk Park in town and just beach combing or whatever strikes an interest. We've now obtained quite the glass piece collection - blue, white, green, brown....

Cody always manages to find a favorite stick. I think on this trip they found about 5 each.

A tired Cody

And the snow fell again....just as we thought we MIGHT be nearing spring.... (which the picture here doesn't even capture the huge flakes coming down). The kids thought it was such fun entertainment that they got out their camp chairs and snoman blankets :)

We've gotten a number of snow falls recently, but for the most part it melts right off. In fact, last Sun. it snowed for a good part of the morning, but didn't stick.

We went to the state basketball games down in Yakima to cheer Chelan on - both boys and girls teams went! Jared and Bryce make adorable cheerleaders :)

This little guy is a basketball fan

Showin' some team spirit!

That's all for now! Onward to spring....!!!! Think warm.
