This past weekend, we took a trip to Seattle to see my brother Brian and his wife Cassie. We spent Sat. at the Woodland Park Zoo which thrilled the kids. It was a first for Cody and Caleb and been a few years for Ashlyn.
The butterfly exhibit is one of my favorites!
These birds enjoyed some very fine dining off of these sticks!

This guy was a favorite of mine - I just wanted to cuddle him :)
I have NO idea what this thing was - it was in the Unidentified Species exhibit and looked pretty frightening
On Sun. afternoon we went to a local beach to fly kites and meet up with my friend from school, Aura. There were dozens of kite-surfers there, which was awesome to watch! We've never gotten to see that sport before, but it's apparently pretty popular at this location.
After 21 years, we're still friends!
