August

These pics are in reverse order, but this was our final trip to Lake Roosevelt this year over Labor Day weekend. We brought along our little fishing boat, so on the way back to the launch, Jason and Sarah rode in it! Tristan was quite content...
The Sanderson clan, minus a few
DeAnne and her mom
A romantic sunset!

DeAnne's (ahem) 29th birthday --(actually her 32nd)
They celebrated a little early with a beautiful beach cake that her mom made there!
Father and sons.... how cute is that....
These blow up jet skis actually have a working battery-operated motor! The kids loved them.

view of Lake Roosevelt
A beautiful sky to greet us in the early a.m. on our ride to the lake.
Twas the night before going camping...
After the whole summer went by of promising the kids a go-cart ride in Chelan, we finally did it on our last opportunity before closing for the season. Was really fun...

Mid air pose - the kids had a great time with the sprinkler under the trampoline.
aahhhhh..... loveys!
Ashlyn's new baby had to have a birthday! (she had a lemonade stand several times this summer and with some of her savings, purchased this baby - eats, cries, wets, etc.)
In the park across the road from us.
What a ham! IMP is his middle name...

kinda hard to be a good cowboy with your hat over your face!
Ashlyn playing dentist with Cody. She set this up all by herself - her creativity was so funny! The air pumper for the air suction the dentist uses.... sunglasses, etc.!

Our 2nd Roosevelt trip (with the Anderson's) Cody will hate mommy for this picture one day, but she thought it was so funny - he said it was "tinky in there".
Anyone wanna hold me????
The weather was lousy this day, and Caleb was his happiest mucking around in the water with his clothes on, falling in the sand.... no one wanted to hold him tho!
Keeping Tucker dry (Randy and Amy's dog)
Caleb's first jet ski ride!

Ok, hit it!

Rachelle took Ashlyn for her first jet ski ride.
Now, THIS is a jet ski - Caleb had a blast making the motor go

Auntie Carolyn and the kids at Olympia conv.

Cheese!

Lake Chelan - this is the area where we spent a large time at this summer. It's a barracaded off shallow swimming pool that's perfect for kids. On the other side it drops off to normal lake depth.
Caleb loves to wear Ashlyn's stuff (mostly her shoes), but even her shorts! It was so cute when he put them on backwards and couldn't quite get them hiked up over his back side. They stayed on like that for quite awhile.
Us at Duncan conv.
All dressed up and this is the best picture I could get - they don't stay still for long...
Sandwich hug!
Makin' faces with Chloe
Mini-golfing in Parksville (Vancouver Is.) - guys teamed up and girls teamed up.
Superman!

Looking for beach critters with uncle Jason
On DeAnne's mom's birthday, we took a trip up to the Ione area and spent the day. We went on a historic train ride that was beautiful, toured an old cave, and saw Boundary Dam.

pics out of order again... Cody "wimming" with his life jacket at Bradbury beach (also part of Lake Roosevelt, just much further away)
Sandcastles at Bradbury beach
Grandma D's birthday
Boundary dam - "The Postman" was filmed here.
view below the dam

I think this was called Gardner cave. Very impressive - was close to 100 degrees outside, and 40 inside! This cave goes back several hundred feet, dropping 80 feet below ground level.

This is the same train we rode on - stops for a photo op time on the tressel.
