November 2007

This must be why they call Tristan "squishy"
Enjoying videos on auntie Leah's phone
Chelan/Manson was made famous by some visiting friends from Michigan. When driving back to their condo from meeting, a cow fell from a high cliff (police reported 75 ft., newspaper reported 200 ft.) and landed on the hood of their van, totalling it. They escaped with no injuries but aquired some good laughs (later on) and lots of cow jokes. So now, somebody has had the humor to put a warning sign for falling cows. For those of you who aren't familiar with Chelan, we just DON'T see COWS here!
Trying to get a pic of the cute boys together...
If you've checked out Jason and Sarah's blog, you already know he's recently started walking! Soooo cute in their first steps!
First snowman from the first snow we got (right after Thanksgiving weekend)
Carolyn came to stay for a few days. We enjoyed a chilly walk around Riverwalk park one day!

We discovered Cody has a really cool talent. (Next candidate on America's got Talent?) He can spin his head completely backwards!..... or maybe he just grew a whole bunch of white hair on his face?????
Grandpa and Grandma Danell came for a visit at Thanksgiving. Cody was showing him the rock he made.
Uncle Brian getting some snuggles
Grandma D. and Ashlyn happened to be matching that day.

Brian's getting ready to do some fly fishing :)
Caleb got an early b-day present from G&G
Well, if ya ain't gonna feed me, I might as well sleep while I'm waitin'! Poor Caleb got tired of waiting for us to get all the food on the table and managed to sleep right through dinner.
Our Thanksgiving bunch - Shawn was all done with the picture thing.
Grandma D. helping the kids with the new conncoction kit Ashlyn got for her b-day.

Auntie Cassie brought a beautiful beaded purse from India for Ashlyn's b-day.

B-day presents from G&G D.
This actually took place a few weeks earlier, but when G&G Sanderson and aunties came to visit, they took Ashlyn shopping to pick out her b-day presents.
She had no trouble finding stuff she wanted!

On Ashlyn's real b-day we took her out for dinner by herself to a nice place in town. She was so delighted with the cherries they put on her straw, that she talked about that the most! Yup, that IS an orange cream soda...

Ashlyn finally got the baby Annabell doll she's been wanting.

On Ashlyn's b-day in her classroom, I brought cupcakes in to share.

The big 6 year old!
This is Shane and Deanna's baby - Eli (2 mos.) Was fun to get some newborn snuggle time with him when they came to spend the weekend with us.
the cousins (Tristan- far left, Eli- far right)

These pics appear in reverse order, so here's the end of Ashlyn's birthday party.

Pinata time!

One of the games we played - toss the apple into the basket.
The girls played a relay horse game and being that they had even numbered teams, Cody got left out. Well, he decided he was going to play anyway, so he went and found his own horse and hat, sunglasses, etc. to be his own team!

Deanna and baby Eli

My homemade pinata. It started out looking like a pig, then ears looked like a dog, so this was the result....

Cody does the most surprising things. On Sun., we were all dressed up and ready to walk out the door. Cody had slipped out a min. before us, and somehow managed to find a dead bird, and, of course, pick it up!
Our binky boy - hmmm... should I choose orange, or orange?
We went fishing mid-Nov. down at the lake in our little aluminum boat. We found where the biters are! We caught 12 fish in about an hour. Cody caught the first one - his first fish ever, and he even reeled it in himself! Each time as soon as we got the line back in the water, almost immediately had bites on every time! Ashlyn and Cody kept taking turns. We took about 6 of them home.

Ashlyn's first fish!

Cody's first fish!
Ashlyn's school had a Veteran's Day assembly and each grade performed patriotic songs. This is the kindergarten group (4 classes). Ashlyn is in the very back left, 2nd in (white shirt)! They performed the Pledge of Allegiance and a song to go with it, and America the Beautiful, including sign language. Sooo cute! Am going to try and get a video of it on, but so far am having bad luck loading videos.
Love the colors of fall - this is the view out our front windows.
